The Accident

Yesterday I was leaving a baby shower in Fallbrook/Rainbow area. Will and I were cruising down old 395, when a woman pulled out in front of me. I was going 55 mph (the speed limit) when I saw she was looking the other way, not at me. By the time I realized she was pulling in front of me I couldn't stop. Her Scion xB met the front end of my Honda. I spun around and the air bags deployed. Cops, ambulance and family was called. I was blessed to me a nice older couple (that were grandparents themselves) that watched out for me and mostly took care of Will. I couldn't hold him cause my arms was so beaten and burned. Shock set in quickly and I couldn't focus or think straight. I was so overwhelmed by what happened. It was my first accident driving behind the wheel.  The ambulance took me and Will and the other woman to the hospital.  I truly believe God's angels were protecting us all.
The other girl was 28 and 7 months pregnant. She's ok. We're ok. I think mostly just sore and banged up... with a huge side of being shocked and shook up. We left the ER at about 8 pm.
Today, I'm sore...extremely. Will had a nightmare. He has seatbelt rash and bruises, but it saved his life. Mat's wonderful mom is on her way to get us. My car's totaled. It's going to be a long week. I'm just glad were alive. Praising God for his protection.

William's almost 15 months old

William is continuing to get cuter, if that's possible. He is so sweet. He is quick to offer kisses and hugs to anyone that asks. He loves to play on his airplane and choo choo train. He randomly says words or phrases but nothing too consistent.

Our little man is now addicted to pineapple. He wants that, mandarin oranges, or yogurt all the time. He had some of Mamu's frozen Island Coconut yogurt yesterday and couldn't seem to eat it fast enough. He likes to have oatmeal in the morning and then a little bit of whatever it is that we're eating.

His vocabulary of understanding is HUGE. His signing vocabulary is moderate. His verbal vocabulary is limited (unless you consider babbling a form a vocabulary). Below are his list:

Signing : More, Please, Food, Thank you (almost), Ball, All Finished, Drink

Says: Mom, Dad (da), Doug, shoes, (sh)fish,

Understands: Honestly he understands just about anything tell him to go get or do. Jump, twirl, go get your ball, put that away, no, patty cake, look at mommy, sit (down), come here, blow kisses, tell them bye, go give kisses, hugs, time out, nigh night, nap, good boy, where's your hat, eyes, nose, mouth, shoes, belly, and ears. It's great to know he is understanding what we're trying to say to him.

Will still loves playing peek-a-boo, chase, and he loves being scared. His latest thing is he like to sit on a stool, stair or box. It's so cute. He backs up to anything and tries to sit down on it. He'll babble while he does it too.

He is very busy. One of the things he is always doing is opening up doors. He is curious about how things open shut, run, and move. He nearly is always pushing a toy car around, pulling his wagon around, pushing his stroller around, and making bbbrrrrummmbrrrumm noises. He is eager to go outside too. He loves the outdoors and taking walks. I have a feeling a daily trip to the park is going to be a must starting in April....when it's a little warmer.

In the last 2 weeks Will has become a very HUNGRY HUNGRY Dinosaur. He eats all day constantly. He certainly has his daddy's appetite. Lately he has been eating so much we can't hardly keep food stocked. It's going to be to be a very expensive upbringing. lol.

Fun day planned

Today Mat is going to go play golf with Will's godfather Jason. I'm headed to my cousin, Marissa's, baby shower. Will is going to come along with me to the shower. I'm hoping it will be a good time and that William is a very good boy. Is he ever not? hehehehe.
Yesterday we went and saw Alice in Wonderland (3-D). It was great fun. It was nice cause Will went to sleep less than an hour after we left, so it wasn't like we were missing out on quality time with him. He had a great time with his Auntie Lori.
After the day's events we are going to just hang out. It'll be nice to relax and enjoy each other's company.
