9 weeks old, shots and what's new

We're happy to say that William survived his first set of shots. We did the individual shots, rather than the cocktail shots. It was tough, but eases our minds. He fussed all day and ran a low grade fever. He's back to his happy self.

Mat's working hard on his insurance/investment compant. I've signed up 5 people for Avon and am super excited about my Avon business. Things are going well. God is so good!

We are trying to start a play date once a week or every other week. I love being a stay at home mom.

2 months is around the corner

As we approach Valentine's day I can't help but reflect that Will is turning 2 months old. He is almost sitting up on his own. He sucks on his hand. He started drinking from a bottle with daddy at night. He's outgrown the net in his baby bath tub. William smiles so much! I've never seen a baby laugh and smile as much as he does. His expressions are a crack up. He's finally getting some hair and his baby acne is gone. He is getting big enough to sit on my hip when I walk around with him...he just seems too young to do this. He rolls over back to front. He laughs when we read books to him. He enjoys his personal rocking chair and tummy time. He reaches for his blanket and pulls it to his face. He follows us around the room with his eyes. He studies things ...which is so adorable. He loves to watch the fans around Grandma & Grandpa's house too. I feel so blessed to have such a pleasant baby. He is still feeding 2x a night...but we go to bed between and 10 and wake up at 7 am. He usually has to be woke up with us at 7 am. We're trying to iron out these details, but it's not bad.

We've been in Bishop the last 10 days. Will saw his first snow and stands about 2 inches taller than Grandma and Grandpa's coffee table. We're very proud of our big boy. He's getting chunky thighs and has a double chin but the rest of him is pretty trim. It's cute. He's already in 3-6 month clothing too. We know it wont be long before we have to switch car seats. His next appointment is Feb 17th...vaccines, yuck. In the meantime we're fighting colds. We're happy it's not the flu.
We're looking forward to warmer days so we can have play dates and go to the Zoo, beach and Wild Animal Park.

Well these are the updates for now. Happy Valentine's day!

It's been awhile...here are the updates

The past couple of weeks have been insanely busy. My dad and step mom came to town from Hawaii. We moved into a 2 bedroom apartment and have been unpacking ever since. Things have been hectic. We went up to LA this last Wednesday where Will met his potential future girlfriend, Mia. She was born 2 days after Will and is adorable. We went to the Zoo Tuesday, but only stayed 2 -3 hours. Mat was caught up in business stuff…but it’s ok, we’ll have plenty of times to go (because we have season passes. Thanks Mom!). My dad and step mom left on Saturday. We were sad to see them go. My dad was so great at helping me get our place in order while Mat was in his office in Bishop.

We went to see my step mom’s family on Saturday the 17th. It was their first time meeting Will & Mat. It went very well. Camille made all of the food (including the pancake - breaded chicken, which was awesome) and everyone loved Will. While they were here we baked and played games. We think they really enjoyed seeing Will for the first time. Apparently he enjoys the attention.

The three of us have also made several trips to Ontario since the last blog to meet up with Mat’s family so they can spend time with us (OK so mainly the baby).

Sunday the 24th, Will, Mat and I went to the front of church for communion and blessings. It was very sweet. He rolled over for the first time. William also met Fritz for the first time. He also had several other firsts today. He met Fontayne, Jon & Fritz. Fritz is just 10 months older, so their bound to be close friends as time goes by. At 6 weeks old he’s very curious about other kids. He loves sitting in his cousin Savannah’s lap. He watched Fritz move around and was so curious. It’s so amazing to watch his alertness and curiosity. William experienced his first bottle too. Daddy gave him his night time feeding. It was a great experience, other than the nipple ran a little to fast. It was a big day for our little guy.
On April 19th we’re looking at getting him baptized. We’re excited. Lacey & Jason Driggars are his god parents. We are totally excited.

*At 1 month old, William weighed 11.1 lbs and was 23 inches long. He's growing so much!

A circumcision, and new firsts

Mathew & I took William for his lil 'snip, snip' on Wednesday. He took it like a trooper, but the last 5 minutes were awful for him. The glue that they put on to keep the gauze on burns..and he felt it. He cried and cried for hours. We didn't end up doing anything for New Year's cause the poor guys was a wreck. He's doing much better now...and even the next he was better.

Things are going great up here in Lone Pine. Tomorrow we're heading to Pahrump for a wedding. William's had many firsts in the last few days. He's holding his head up more and more. He follows objects, scooches and recognizes voices. He is sleeping more and more through the night too. He hung out in his 'back pack' today. He seems to like it a lot. He listens to daddy's stories every day and has lots of tummy time on his play mat.

We are so proud of our son. Even moreso we're in love with the life we share with him. God is so wonderful. We couldn't be happier.
