Colorado

Mat & I went to Colorado for a day a LONG time ago. I've never been where I could actually spend time with friends and explore the area. It was WONDERFUL to take a long weekend to visit my dear friend Brianna. I also was able to visit her sister Shanna, and my friend Amy. The whole weekend was truly priceless. I really love hanging out with friends that are so kind and fun.

Brianna and I went to a soiree at the Natural History & Science Museum in Denver, went shopping, watched Harry Potter, decorated her Christmas Tree, went to Idaho Springs, and Red Rock. We had Starbucks, Lattes, dressed up and went out with friends, and went to a great Brewery. Here are some pictures.

Halloween 2010

This year we took had a Halloween weekend. Saturday we headed to the local elementary for their annual carnival. We played games, ate hot dogs and nachos. Will did the cake walk but didn't win. His favorite was the fishing though. On Halloween we went trick or treating down Main Street and handed out candy after about 7 pm. The weekend was a lot of fun. I know I'm just now posting pictures, but late then never. Unfortunately we left our camera in HI, so we didn't have the gratest pictures. We have since purchased another one. Pictures should be much more regular now.

October Fun

October came so quickly this year. It's the coolest October I ever remember. It's been so beautiful with the fall colors and warm sweaters. This weekend Mathew and I were fortunate to have his parents watch Will so we could trade out Spring/Summer clothes for Fall/Winter ones. There have been many fun things going on this October.

Football! The Eagles are doing better than previous years, thanks to Chris, Mat and a team with a desire. The boys had their first win this last Friday. 53-0 against Baker Valley. Will and I have been able to attend nearly every game and it is really so much fun!

My friend, Jacob, came up to visit a week ago. He brought his boys and we had a huge amount of fun. We went up to Whitney Portal for dinner and hiking. We had a water balloon fight and played Wii. It was so much fun for Will to have some other boys to play with and have fun with. Boys are such great fun!

This month William has really developed. His vocabulary has improved tremendously, along with his communication skills. He is still our little helper around the house. He is a very good little boy, except for when he's tired and needs a nap. He is sleeping in his toddler bed with no problems. He has yet to become potty trained. We're working on it, but due to our inconsistency of travel and routine it makes it much more difficult.

Recently we added Will to the Gap New Faces contest. We thought it might be fun for him and everyone around him to vote and participate in something like this. We'll see how it goes.

Juggling....Not Always So Easy

All of my life, really, I've dreamed about being a 'stay at home mom'. I never really thought it would happen because of the economy and the way things 'are' in today's world. I was very fortunate to be able to stay home with William for the first 9 months of his life. There is not a day in my life that I take those moments I had for granted. Now that William is nearly 2 years old, it's sometimes hard to take a look at him and see how much he's grown. Time does flies by in the blink of an eye.

It is with great joy that I feel for my husband, that he has taken on 'staying home' and raising our boy. It's sometimes hard on me, but I know how much William is learning and developing under his daddy's love and care. It is a team effort. I'm working very hard to finish the schooling I need to help me move up in my job, and Mathew has the honor of raising our boy and building his business from home. There is everything positive going on right now in our lives.

Juggling, how do we do it? I sometimes wonder how Mathew works so hard with his business, teaches William, coaches football, until recently, worked at the Hostel, AND is the treasurer of a local committee AND takes care of his wife. He is truly is the love of my life, my sweetheart and soul mate. With him juggling what's on his plate, and me juggling school, work, and family, we somehow find a balance.

This beautiful life we live is not always easy. We barely can keep up with our home. The hobby's we love get put on the back burner. Our quality time together can be limited. BUT, with our family's help and a great deal of determination we make it work. We find the joy, satisfaction and purity in the little moments that we get as a family. Our love is so abundant.....and our future is so bright. We are truly blessed. Juggling makes our world go round.

Ouchies, boo boos, and lots of kisses

William is a very daring, and fearless child. He is quick to run, jump, and fall daily. To this date....he has busted his eye open on a headboard, fallen head first onto concrete numerous times, has had bruises, gashes, cut his nose open on a razor scooter, and does not care. He'll cry momentarily, but is happy to receive kisses and quickly move on to new adventures. All I have to say is that I am SO glad we have insurance. I know there will be numerous trips to the hospital in the future, but as long as he is ok, I don't mind his fearless outlook on life.
